This report presents the findings of the community baseline undertaken by the Consortium ‘Building Resilient Communities in Somalia’ (BRCiS) between August and October 2014. The aim of the Consortium is to enhance resilience to shocks and recurrent hazards in highly vulnerable communities of South and Central Somalia for an initial period of four years.

INTRODUCTION

La mission CESVI avait pour objectif d'évaluer les besoins en eau et assainissement, éducation et santé de 9 aires de santé de la zone de Nyankunde, territoire d'Irumu, collectivité Andisoma, groupement Loy Banigaga.

Cette évaluation s'inscrit dans la stratégie CESVI de fournir des évaluations sectorielles approfondies afin de planifier d'éventuelles interventions humanitaires cohérentes. En ce qui concerne le domaine de l'eau et assainissement, éducation et santé, CESVI a réorienté et renforcé sa tratégie dans la partie Est Congo.

Initially CESVI's activities in northern Uganda were based on humanitarian interventions but gradually, especially with the ongoing return process, began shifting towards recovery and development.
