Belgrade, 17 Dec 2015 – Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Aleksandar Vulin met yesterday with Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Serbia Lee Do-Hoon, who announced that his country has decided to donate to Serbia aid worth $1 million.

Do-Hoon explained that half of the funds is intended for direct budget support, and the other half for the UNHCR.

According to Do-Hoon, the funds will be used to improve border control, support refugee camps and medical assistance to migrants.

Belgrade, 13 Feb 2015 – Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Srdjan Verbic, Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar and Japanese Ambassador to Serbia Masafumi Kuroki signed an agreement today on the Japanese donation in the amount of €306,941 for schools and health centres in Serbia.

Verbic recalled that the government of Japan since 1999 launched approximately 200 projects and donated funds in the areas of education, health and social care, adding that the help is immeasurable.

Obrenovac, 19 May 2014 – Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic stated today in Obrenovac that the death toll in this town so far stands at 13, and pointed out that at this moment it is difficult to speak about the damage caused by floods, but that according to rough estimates it amounts to several hundred million Euros.

During his visit to Obrenovac, Vucic underlined that he expects help from foreign governments in flood relief, and added that Serbia needs medicines, food, especially food for babies, and construction material.

Nis, 17 Nov 2011 – Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Goran Bogdanovic and Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Konuzin welcomed today at airport in Nis "Constantine the Great" a plane with a new shipment of humanitarian aid from Russia intended for Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija.

Bogdanovic told reporters that the 35 tonnes of humanitarian aid consist of food and wood burning stoves and added that the aid will be distributed to Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija in next few days through the office of the Red Cross.

Belgrade, 11 Aug 2011 – Minister of Health Zoran Stankovic announced today that a shipment of medicines and medical devices will be sent to Gracanica and other Serbian enclaves in Kosovo-Metohija on 15 August.

Stankovic said in a broadcast on Radio Television B92 that the hospitals in Gracanica, Strpce, Pluzani and other enclaves will receive all the necessary medical devices.

The Minister recalled that the first shipment of medicines and medical devices was sent to Kosovo-Metohija last week.

Belgrade, 26 May 2011 – Minister of Health Zoran Stankovic, UNICEF Director in Serbia Judita Reichenberg and Telenor Serbia CEO Kjell Morten Johnsen today signed an agreement on continuing cooperation within project “Connect”, aimed at improving the health of the Roma.

Stankovic told a press conference that since the project began, 120,708 Roma have been registered, of whom 48,968 are children. He added that 8,238 children have been vaccinated, 4,924 women had their gynaecology check up and 14,468 Roma chose their general practitioners, while 1,333 children enrolled in schools.

Belgrade, April 10, 2008 - The aircraft carrying the fourth consignment of humanitarian aid for the Serb enclaves in Kosovo provided by the Russian Ministry of Civil Defence, Emergency Situations and Disaster Relief has landed at the Nikola Tesla airport in Belgrade today.

Russia has so far sent three consignments of humanitarian aid to Serb enclaves in Kosovo, which including today's shipment totals 160 tons of foodstuffs and medicines worth nearly $1.7 million.

The aid was sent on the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Belgrade, April 4, 2008 - The Serbian Ministry of Health stated that in cooperation with WHO it has resolved the problem of supplying medicines and medical equipment to health establishments in Kosovo-Metohija.

According to the statement, Health Minister Tomica Milosavljevic confirmed that agreement was reached between UNMIK and WHO regarding a solution to the problem.
