Nashville, Indonesia-Relief - Project CURE, a faith-based US humanitarian organization with headquarters in Denver, Colorado, will ship a 40-foot-long container of out of date medical equipment and supplies to Banda Aceh, Indonesia. Item in the container are X-Rays equipment and 20,000 pound of medical supplies and it scheduled to be shipped on Monday.
The shipment, as reported by Teneessean.com on Sunday, is the second container dispatched by Project CURE (Commission on Urgent Relief and Equipment) from its warehouse in Nashville, since the disaster there last year.
Jakarta, Indonesia-Relief - Head of Taiwan Economic and Trade Office in Indonesia David Lin on Monday gave Rp 2,8 billion (US $300,000) to former Indonesia President BJ Habibie, to help Habibie Centers build 11 orphan house in Banda Aceh. Lin, as reported by detikcom, also provided through the center 37 boxes of medicines and 50.000 dollar to Nias earthquake victims.
The first of 11 orphanage planned by Habibie Center has opened and operational since last week.
