In crowded Bangladesh, ending hunger for poor families requires creativity. With little available farmland, better farming techniques or improved seeds are not enough– increasing family income is key.
That’s the strategy behind Bangladesh Nazarene Mission’s (BNM) five year nutrition and food security project, funded through the Foodgrains Bank and Nazarene Compassionate Ministries. Working in 70 communities, the project’s activities include training in health, nutrition, sanitation and social awareness—and support for income generating activities.
