Selon l’élue de la circonscription Cornillon Grand Bois une trentaine d’autres personnes seraient hospitalisées.
Ce regain de choléra serait constaté dans la zone depuis plus d’une semaine, indique le parlementaire, tout en exhortant le Ministère de la santé publique et la Direction nationale de l’eau potable et de l’assainissement (Dinepa) à y manifester leur présence.

KABUL: After spending 38 days on the road, a number of Helmand Peace Convoy activists, who walked over 630kms to Kabul city, were on Monday treated by medics after arriving at Abdul Rahman Khan mosque in the capital.

CUCUTA, Colombia June 18 (Thomson Reuters Foundation) - Exhausted but relieved, Yariani Flores lay next to her healthy newborn son, along with four other Venezuelan women who just gave birth in a hospital in Colombia's border city of Cucuta.
More than 340.000 Venezuelans have entered Ecuador since the beginning of 2018 (compared to 287,000 arrivals registered for the whole 2017).
In Brazil, 527 Venezuelan nationals had been relocated from border regions to Brazilian cities in the country (Cuiabá, Manaus and São Paulo).
The number of Venezuelans seeking asylum has risen yearly. Between 2014 and 2018, some 185,783 asylum claims have been lodged.

On 8 June 2018, the Ministry of Health (MoH) for Kenya confirmed an outbreak of Rift Valley fever. The first patient was admitted to a hospital in Wajir County in north-eastern Kenya on 2 June with fever, body weakness, and bleeding from the gums and mouth. The patient reported having consumed meat from a sick animal; the patient died the same day. On 4 June, two relatives of the index patient were admitted. Blood samples were collected and sent to the Kenya Medical Research Institute, one of which was confirmed positive for Rift Valley fever on 6 June.

Along with immediate assistance, they need long-term support, including therapy to cope with trauma and opportunities to earn a living.
