La Organización Panamericana de la Salud reiteró su recomendación de que los viajeros internacionales deben vacunarse contra la fiebre amarilla al menos diez días antes de viajar o visitar zonas donde circula el virus.
Entre 2016 y 2018, siete países y territorios de la región de las Américas han notificado casos de fiebre amarilla informó la Organización Panamericana de la Salud este viernes.

The International Pediatric Association (IPA) is working together with the Turkish government to improve conditions of Rohingya children in Bangladesh, as Turkey sets standards for care of refugee children, the head of the IPA said.
WFP provided one-off emergency cash-based transfers to recently arrived refugees C.A.R in the south of Chad. One month after the outbreak of this new refugee influx, WFP has assisted 18,103 people out of the 19,035 registered by UNHCR This figure is likely to increase. The influx is already the largest movement of refugees from C.A.R., exceeding the total number for 2017.

February 23rd, 2018 ― Doha: Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) has provided QR 1 million for emergency response to the humanitarian crisis in Eastern Ghouta, Syria. Under the intervention, Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) is working in coordination with local partners to secure relief and medical supplies for the heavily bombed city.
Through four emergency catering hubs, QRCS is going to provide 34,500 food meals over 17 days, or 2,000 meals per day, at shelters and distribution locations designated by municipalities and community representatives.
In the six months since the start of the Rohingya crisis IOM Bangladesh has reached over 900,000 people in the refugee and host communities in Cox’s Bazar. IOM provides a wide range of practical and technical support including distributing vital shelter materials, improving roads and other access ways, and monitoring and assessing needs.
To respond to the fastest growing refugee crisis in the world IOM Bangladesh tripled its staff to over 600 people – around 85 per cent of them Bangladeshi nationals.

Between 15 to 27 of January 2018, 25 open collective centers were assessed during DTM Round 4 in Dominica. These centers shelter 352 internally displaced persons (IDPs) (114 households). 56% of the IDPs residing in collective centers have at least one vulnerability and the vast majority (96%) of the residents in the centers reported that their houses were damaged or destroyed. 16% of the collective centers do not have access to hygienic latrines and 48% of the residents mention a lack of privacy in the assessed sites.
