World Humanitarian Data and Trends presents global and country-level data-and-trend analysis about humanitarian crises and assistance. Its purpose is to consolidate this information and present it in an accessible way, providing policymakers, researchers and humanitarian practitioners with an evidence base to support humanitarian policy decisions and provide context for operational decisions.
The information presented covers two main areas: humanitarian needs and assistance in 2016, and humanitarian trends, challenges and opportunities.

En réponse à l’afflux massif des réfugiés nigérians vers le Cameroun, le camp de Minawao a été ouvert depuis juillet 2013 pour permettre de fournir de façon coordonnée les services de bases aux populations nigérianes victimes de la crise humanitaire au Nord Est du Nigéria. La situation étant encore instable dans les régions du Nord du Nigéria, le Cameroun continue à enregistrer des personnes au camp de Minawao.

L'assistance alimentaire, la protection civile et l'éducation sont les besoins humanitaires urgents. Une organisation humanitaire a déjà envoyé des approvisionnements médicaux à la ville où une alerte de potentielle crise nutritionnelle a été lancée.

ATTACKS CLAIM 10 LIVES IN CRISIS-HIT REGION

At least 10 people were killed on 7 and 10 December in the South-West region, which along with the North-West, have been gripped by protests and violence against alleged Government marginalisation. More than 5,000 people have already fled to neighbouring Nigeria. There are fears that the figure could rise with the escalating tensions.

Introduction

2018 will mark the fifth year of the Nigerian refugee crisis with 218,000 Nigerian refugees expected to be living in and outside of camps with host communities in Cameroon, Chad and Niger. The overall Nigerian refugee population size has fluctuated in 2017, with new arrivals, departures to Nigeria and pendular movements between countries of asylum and Nigeria, owing to the prevailing insecurity and sub-standard living conditions in the country of origin.
