U.S.A. - Severe weather
• Severe weather, including thunderstorms, strong winds, heavy rain, hail and tornadoes affected several areas of Midwest and Mid-Atlantic United States on 21-23 June. Several tornadoes were reported in the states of Illinois, Iowa, Kansas and Michigan on 22 June.
• According to media (as of 23 June), seven people were injured and several damages occurred, mostly in the area of Coal City in northern Illinois.
The activities proposed hereafter are still subject to the adoption of the financing decision ECHO/WWD/BUD/2013/01000

Bangladesh is affected by several humanitarian crises due to, in particular, the consequences of recurrent natural disasters, the influx of refugees from Myanmar and the situation in the Chittagong Hill Tracts.
There must be continued support to vulnerable communities to prepare for and reduce the impacts of natural disasters in order to reinforce their resilience capacities.
The health emergency response capacities in the capital city, Kathmandu, must be strengthened to cope with the risk of a major earthquake.
Food assistance to the refugees from Bhutan living in Nepal should be continued
