KYZYLORDA, Kazakhstan, 26 April 2016 – An OSCE-supported training seminar for some 30 farmers and representatives from the national and regional water authorities, the Aral-Syrdarya Water Basin Council, the civil society and academia on promoting sustainable fisheries in Kazakhstan’s part of the Aral Sea region began today in Kyzylorda, Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) have signed a new agreement to support action on climate change and renewable energy solutions in the region, with a key focus on helping Pacific Island countries to participate more actively in international climate change meetings.
ASTANA, Kazakhstan, 2 July 2015 – An OSCE-supported high-level National Preparatory Meeting to the 23rd Economic and Environmental Forum on Water Governance took place today in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The event was co-organized by the OSCE Programme Office in Astana, the Agriculture Ministry and the Ecological Forum of Kazakhstan with support from the Government of Switzerland.
