Recent Situational Developments
Yemen remains in the grip of war with 2.8 million internally displaced persons including 0.5 million newly displaced since June 2018. Out of the newly displaced persons, 84 percent are originated from Al Huday-dah and close to 91 percent voiced their critical needs for shelter assis-tance according to the latest IOM ETT (Emergency Tracking Tool) report.
2018 Response Highlights
30,660 households have received emergency shelters solution while 10,513 households received reinforced/transitional shelters solutions.
47,551 households reached through improved, basic and complimentary NFI Kits including core relief items.
459,202 individuals have been biometrically registered since January 2018
3,516 households have been reached through Cash/Voucher for Shelter /Rental support while 8,552 households with Cash/Voucher for NFI
Summary and Objectives
Heavy fighting erupted in Al Dhale'e governorates and new waves of displacement expected to be generated towards An Nadirah, Ar Radmah, As Saddah and Yarim districts in Ibb governorate. ACTED is currently conducting needs assessments in new IDP hosting sites located in At Ta'iziyah, Dimnat Khadir and Sabir Al Mawadim districts.
