• In the second half of June, assessed communities in Idleb governorate witnessed 7,538 IDP departures, most commonly from Ma’arrat An Nu’man (23%) and Ariha (11%) sub-districts. All reported departures from assessed communities in the governorate were secondary displacements, many reportedly being onward movements of IDPs from Eastern Ghouta, Rural Damascus. Almost a quarter (1,681) of IDPs leaving assessed communities in Idleb governorate reportedly intended to move to Afrin sub-district in north-west Aleppo governorate.

Shelter Cluster members are currently covering approximately 40% of the shelter needs reported in Kachin and Northern Shan States.
Displacement started in June 2011 due to the fighting between the Government and the Kachin Independence Organization. The majority of IDPs live in camps along the Myanmar-China Border. Approximately 36% of IDPs live in camps in non-Government Controlled areas (NGCA).
With a larger population than Malakal and Wau PoC combined*, Bentiu PoC site has witnessed the largest net population flow in and out of its gates during the nine-month reporting period. The in- and out-flows are comparable in scale to those of other PoC sites taking overall population sizes into account. During the reporting period, 31,366 individuals left the site and 7,661 people arrived at the site.
Over the week, the military operations continue to intensify in the western coastal areas, which has resulted in an increased wave of displacement in several locations in the country.
• The first half of June witnessed an escalation of aerial bombardments focused on central Idleb governorate, following a renewed wave of attacks by armed opposition groups (AOGs) on the besieged enclave of Foah and Kefrayya from 7 June. In parallel, Daret Azza, in western Aleppo governorate, witnessed heavy aerial bombardments on 14 June, the first since the establishment of military observation posts in the sub-district in late 2017.
