BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - January 19, 2010 - Instruments of Mercy, Inc.®, a nonprofit organization that repairs surgical instruments for medical mission teams around the world, is offering instrument repair at no cost to surgeons and surgical team members assisting earthquake victims in Haiti. "We've heard reports of surgeons having to use rusty instruments and hacksaws to amputate limbs," said Gene Robinson, founder of Instruments of Mercy and CEO of IMS, a surgical instrument management and consulting company.
