CURRENT SITUATION:

Weather conditions have improved in all of the country. Alerts are issued for moderate rain with thunderstorms for certain areas over the Caribbean coastline from the northern coast of Veraguas to the eastern coast of Colon (Costa Arriba) and over the Gulf of Urabá in the vicinity of Puerto Obaldía and La Miel.

Flooding and landslides due to bad weather, including heavy rainfall, strong winds and high tides -now in slow remission- have caused the collapse of main and secondary roads, bridges, as well as loss of life and property, livestock and crops in the provinces of Bocas del Toro and Chiriquí mainly but other areas of the Caribbean region are also seriously affected.

SITUATION:

Bad weather persists in all of the country. These conditions are caused by a center of low pressure located in the Caribbean Sea to 480 Km of Colon. Unstable weather predominates and sudden floods in other sectors of the country should not be discarded.
