New York, NY (December 3, 2010) - The United Nations Foundation and The Vodafone Foundation announced today the launch of new research with the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative that will help increase the efficiency of information sharing between large aid organizations and grassroots technology groups during humanitarian crises.
The Vodafone Foundation today made a donation of =A3100,000 to the Bihar Red Cross in order to support its efforts to provide relief in the flood hit areas of north-east India.
Floods have devastated the state of Bihar since the KosiRiverburst its banks on the 18th August.
