The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has organized a ceremony on the occasion of the receipt of the mobile medical unit that has provided by the government of Japan in order to increase the health support for the most vulnerable categories in community at the IRCS`s Headquarters in Baghdad in the presence of the Japanese Ambassador in Iraq Mr. Fumio Iwai, the general manager of the Sumitomo foundation Mr. Ryosuke Miyake, the Head of Asia and Australia department Mr.
The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has sought to enable the local communities and to increase their abilities in order to face the different humanitarian crisis during emergencies to alleviate the possible damages. This has come within the initiative of Community Development and Communication Forum to provide humanitarian assistance for the most vulnerable people in the community, as well as IRCS has distributed food and relief assistance for (288) vulnerable families in the governorates of Maysan and Al Diwaniyah to alleviate the suffering of their living condition.
The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) is seeking within its priorities to enable the local communities and to increase its abilities to face the various humanitarian crises in the emergency conditions in order to reduce its damages and for that the IRCS has launched an initiative to establish the forum of social communication which attracts a number of volunteers and the IRCS`s staff, the forum aims to increase the abilities of the community institutions and individuals, and develop the various capacities through implementing awareness, health, sport and relief activities.
One year after the events of Mosul ended in July 2017, the Iraqi Red Crescent teams continue to provide humanitarian assistance to the residents inside the city or to the displaced who face some challenges to return to their homes after their homes have been damaged.
The city of Mosul, Iraq’s second-largest city in terms of population density, is facing the danger of deterioration of the health situation, which has threatened the lives of thousands of people because most of the health centers are out of service and as a result of damage to the infrastructure of the city and the deterioration of services which have provided to the families who have returned to their areas, especially on the health side, this makes the Iraqi community exposed to various diseases.
As part of the efforts of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) to develop its humanitarian and logistical capabilities, the IRCS seeks to develop the infrastructure of its branches, especially in the governorates, as well as in Al Muthanna branch, which was opened last year.
The President of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) Dr. Yassin Ahmed Abbas has discussed with the Ambassador of the Republic of China in Iraq Mr.Chen Weicheng the mechanisms of the joint humanitarian cooperation between the Iraqi Red Crescent, Chinese Embassy and the Chinses Red Cross and the support of the IRCS in its humanitarian activities in the affected areas due to the recent security incidents.

The teams of the Iraqi Red Crescent Society ( IRCS) has continued to provide its first aid and health services for the visitors who are heading toward the city of Kadhimeya for the visit of Imam Kadhim (peace be upon him ).
The IRCS's teams have provided first aid and health services through the permanent and mobile health teams that are deployed inside and outside Baghdad, adding to spread health and guidance awareness for the visitors.

The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has announced the return of more than 2,400 displaced families to their residential areas on the right side of Mosul.
“The Iraqi Red Crescent Society teams have recorded more than 2,400 displaced families returning to their residential areas in the neighborhoods of (Ras Al-Jadah, Al-Kharab, Aljamie Alkabir, Al-Faruq Al-Awal, Al-Nabi Shit, Bab Al-Bayd, and Souk Shahr) in the right side of Mosul,” the IRCS has said in a statement.
The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has provided health items for more than 4400 displaced families in the camps of displacement and at the neighborhoods of Salahuddin.
The IRCS has reported in a statement that the teams of the IRCS within Salahuldin center have equipped health items to more than 1560 displaced families at the camps of Alalam, camp number 1, 2 and 3, the health items include (detergents, baby towels, disinfectants and bandages for burns and wounds) which covers all the families in the camps.
