On Wednesday 16 November a Lufthansa Boeing 747 cargo aircraft leaves Köln for Islamabad, Pakistan, with 59 tonnes (600 cubic meters) of relief goods for the earthquake survivors in northern Pakistan. The cargo includes 560 Swiss Army winter tents, 18'000 Swiss Army sleeping bags and 10'300 woollen blankets. The cargo plane is chartered by NATO on a special request of the Swiss Government. Habib Bank AG Zurich has sponsored the cost of the material. Indus Motors Corporation will transport the material to the staging area in Mansehra and Muzaffarabad regions.
