Riyadh, June 19 (BNA): King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center continued to distribute food baskets to needy families in the camps of displaced persons in Al-Khawkhah District and Hays District in Hodeidah Governorate, benefiting 720 individuals of the total allocation of 22,273 food baskets for the Governorate.
The distribution comes within the framework of humanitarian projects being provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Center, for the Yemeni people, which have so far reached 262 projects.
Kuwait, June 13 (BNA): Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) Secretary General Maha Al-Barjas said that volunteer teams are spread in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, Yemen, the Philippines, Lebanon, Pakistan and Bangladesh to help those affected by natural or man-made disasters.
In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Barjas said that KRCS intensified its efforts and support during the holy month of Ramadan for those affected and needy to alleviate their suffering.
She stressed the importance of highlighting the pioneering role of Kuwait in the humanitarian field.
Kuwait, May 30 (BNA): Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) announced dispatch of the first planeload of relief supplies to the people of Socotra Island, recently hit by a fierce storm.
Dakar, May 23 (BNA): The embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Senegal has distributed more than 10,000 food baskets for eligible families and needy segments of society in Senegal, Gambia, Sierra Leon, Cape Verde and Cote d'Ivoire.
Part of the embassy's annual Iftar Saem Programme, the food parcels are funded by the Khalifa bin Zayed AL Nahyan Foundation, Emirates Red Cross, Dubai Charity Association, Zayed Bin Sultan Al-Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Dar El-Ber Society and Ahmad bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works.
Abyan, May 22 (BNA): The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has launched a project in Abyan Governorate to provide iftar for those fasting, with the support of Shaikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the wife of Shaikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, as part of the Year of Zayed.
The launch began in the Eastern and Western villages of Al Nawba in Al Kawd, with the attendance of Shaikh Khalid Ibrahim, Relief Coordinator-General of Abyan.
Abu Dhabi, May 16 (BNA): The UAE foreign assistance to Yemen has reached a total of AED13.82 billion ($3.76 billion) in the last three years, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, (MoFAIC), has announced.
From April 2015 to April 2018, the UAE has continued to provide necessary relief aid to Yemeni citizens across a number of humanitarian and development areas. These include education, infrastructure, utilities and energy, and health among others.

Hajjah, May 4 (BNA): The King Salman Centre for Relief and Humanitarian Aid distributed baskets of food and milk to children for two consecutive months in islands of Al Fasht and Bklan in Hajjah Governorate.
This aid comes within the framework of the assistance provided by the Center to the Yemeni people due to the difficult humanitarian crisis in Yemen, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Aden, Apr. 24 (BNA): Yemen's National Centre for Removal of Landmines said that the Yemeni army has removed 300,000 landmines planted by Iran-backed Houthi militias during two years in liberated areas.
In a press statement, Ameen Al-Aqaili, head of the centre, affirmed that Yemen was exposed to the biggest mine-planting operation since the Second World War, adding that the Houthi coup militias planted more than 500,000 landmines in various areas in Yemen, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Aden, Apr.21 (BNA): King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Aid Center (KSRelief) distributed 2,000 bags of wheat to displaced people from the western coast of Hodeida Governorate to Aden.
“The drive is part of the humanitarian operations plan”, said Yemeni Minister of Local Administration, who is also the Chairman of the Higher Relief Committee Abdulraqeeb Fat'h.
He stressed the crucial role of the King Salman Relief Center for for relief works, not only for Yemen but also in all countries.

Aden, Apr. 8 (BNA): The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has handed over new equipment to the Water and Sanitation Foundation in the Yemeni governorate of Aden, including six control panels for sewage pumps.
Mohammed Nasr Al Shazly, Undersecretary of Aden governorate commended the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) support for the Water and Sanitation Foundation through its humanitarian arm in Yemen, the ERC.
Riyadh, Apr. 8 (BNA): The King Salman Centre for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSrelief) has delivered eight assistance caravans to the Yemeni people.
The caravans include 2,300 food baskets for distribution to the neediest families within the framework of comprehensive humanitarian plan in Yemen, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Riyadh, Apr.4 (BNA): King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center distributed 735 food baskets in Harat Al-Sada and Al-Qataba's displaced people in Al-Khokha Directorate in Al-Hudaydah Governorate to 4,410 people out of the total of 22,273 food baskets allocated to the governorate as part of the comprehensive humanitarian operations plan in Yemen.
The distribution comes within the framework of relief and humanitarian projects being provided by the Center in all humanitarian sectors for the Yemeni people.
Abyan, Mar. 14 (BNA): King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has distributed 800 tonnes of dates in Al-Mahfad Directorate of Abyan governorate to 4,800 people within the total amount of 168 tonnes of dates already allocated to the governorate.
The distribution comes within the framework of relief and humanitarian projects being provided by the centre which have reached 203 projects in all areas of Yemen.

Riyadh, Feb. 28 (BNA): Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, Advisor-Royal Court and Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), has signed here two projects with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) on the sidelines of Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum.
The two projects were co-signed by Dr. Al Rabeeah and IOM Director Ambassador William Lacy Swing.
