IsraAID, Israel's largest civil society humanitarian aid organization, is adding its voice to the many businesses, organizations, politicians, layleaders, and concerned citizens requesting from the Israeli government to reconsider its policy towards asylum seekers.*
As one of the few international aid agencies on the island, IsraAID's team will distribute emergency relief items, provide water, sanitation and hygiene solutions to ensure access to clean water, and offer post-trauma Psychological First Aid to the many displaced to temporary shelters.
Mexico: Following Tuesday's (19th September) 7.1 magnitude earthquake near Puebla, Mexico, IsraAID will send an Emergency Response team to Mexico, consisting of psycho-social and water, sanitation and hygiene specialists.
Freetown, Sierra Leone – IsraAID staff in Sierra Leone will support displaced flood survivors with food and essential items, clean water and sanitation solutions and psychological assistance and stress relief.
Carapongo, Peru -- IsraAID has deployed a team to Peru working to support affected communities in impoverished and remote areas. Access to the most basic items such as food, safe water, and hygiene kits still remains limited for many, and this is the first priority for the team.
