Kermanshah, Aug 27, IRNA – About 2,600 houses were damaged by a strong earthquake which occurred in Tazehabad, Kermanshah Province, western Iran, on Sunday said a senior official of the province.
Out of the total number of the damaged houses, 600 buildings are completely ruined while the rest are partially destroyed, Kermanshah Governor Houshang Bazvand told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
He added that reconstruction procedure will start soon.
Kermanshah, Aug 26, IRNA – The deputy head of Red Crescent Society said on Sunday that conditions in the quake-hit area of Tazehabad, Kermanshah province, is normal.
Talking to IRNA late on Sunday, Shahin Fathi added that the injured have been transported to the hospital and the region is experiencing normal situation, as there is no need for providing further services to the areas rocked by a quake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale.
Fathi further noted that life is going on normally in the affected areas but all the forces are at a standby position.
Kermanshah, Aug 26, IRNA – The number of the dead and injured people by the Sunday morning 5.9-magnitude earthquake in western Iran raised to 241 and two respectively, Head of Kermanshah medical emergency center said.
Most of the injured were treated outpatient and were later released from hospital, Saeb Modarresi told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) in the western provincial capital city of Kermanshah.
He added that six of the injured were hospitalized.
Islamabad, Aug 25, IRNA - National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in its monsoon daily situation report stated that 84 people were dead, 155 injured and 316 houses damaged due to heavy rains in the country from 20 June to 24th August, today.
According to the report, due to heavy rains, flash floods and overflow of water channels, gusty winds in various areas of the provinces caused most of the damages to precious lives and property during monsoon.
Khorramabad, July 29, IRNA – The 4.1-magnitude earthquake in Kouhdasht, Lorestan Province on Sunday injured 20 people, Governor of Kouhdasht Noor Mohammad Fardi Beiranvand said.
Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Sunday, Beiranvand said 17 of those who were injured were treated on accident site and two others were hospitalized.
Rescue teams and Lorestan crisis management committee are completely ready, he added.
Kermanshah, July 23, IRNA - The number of people injured in a strong quake which hit western city of Tazeh Abad in Kermanshah province Sunday amounted to 232, according to a local official.
Crisis Management Director General of Kermanshah governorate general Reza Mahmoudian said 20 of the injured were being treated at provincial medical centers while the others had been treated as outpatients and discharged.
Kermanshah, July 22, IRNA – Governor General of Kermanshah province Houshang Bazvand announced on Sunday afternoon that the quake injury toll hit 40 in Tazeh Abad city in Kermanshah province.
He told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) that fortunately no body died in the incident and most of the injured persons were treated as outpatients.
The official said that the tremor caused damages to the walls in some cases, but no building collapsed.
Bazvand said relief and rescue forces are working now in the area while water and electricity supplies are intact.
Kermanshah, June 27, IRNA – Head of Kermanshah Red Crescent Society announced that 12 people were injured in earthquake which hit Tazehabad city in western province of Kermanshah late Tuesday.
The injured people were treated on the site of quake and just one of them was transferred to hospital, Mohammad Reza Amirian told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Wednesday.
Meanwhile the governor of Qasr-e Shirin said that the 4.2 magnitude earthquake in the area had no casualties.
Yasouj, May 7, IRNA – The earthquake which happened in Chitab region in the vicinity of Yasouj, capital of the southwestern province of Kohkiloyeh-Boyer Ahmad province early Monday morning injured 82 people.
Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Monday, Head of Disaster and Emergency Medical Management Center Jalal Pouran Fard said 71 people were treated on site and 11 others were transported to hospital.
The quake took place at 24:26 hours local time Monday (19:56 GMT Sunday) at the depth of five kilometers.
Tehran, May 2, IRNA – The number of people injured in Wednesday quake in Sisakht hit 105, Spokesman of Iran Emergency Organization Mojtaba Khaledi said.
Khaledi told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) that five of the injured are to be received in the operation room of a local hospital and 37 others are hospitalized in the emergency ward.

Kermanshah, April 1, IRNA – The 5.3-Richter quake happening Sunday in Sarpol-e Zahab, western province of Kermanshah injured 18 people, director general of Kermanshah crisis management office said.
14 people were injured in Sarpol-e Zahab, 3 people in Gilan-e Gharb and 1 person in Qasr-e Shirin, Reza Mahmoudian told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
Injured people were treated on site, he said.
Tehran, Dec 27, IRNA – The 4.2-magnitude earthquake that happened early on Wednesday in Alborz Province, west of Tehran, killed one and injured 57 people.
The quake occurred at 00:54 hours local time (21:24 GMT); the epicenter of the quake was at 50.93 degrees longitude and 35.68 degrees latitude and in the depth of 12 kilometers.
“Three people have been hospitalized,” Director General of Alborz Cisi Management Ooffice Mahdi Mehrvar said.
“Emergency and firefighters are now ready on site,” he added.
Tehran, Dec 12, IRNA - The number of the people injured in the 6.2-magnitude earthquake in the southeastern province of Kerman has climbed to 29, a health official announced.
Head of Kerman province's medical emergency center Mohammad Saberi said that most of those injured sustained their injuries when people were rushing to leave their houses.
He said that most of the injured were discharged after treatment, but 12 have remained hospitalized.
Kermanshah, Nov 26, IRNA - The number of people killed in the fatal earthquake in western Iran mounted to 483 and the number of the injured also hit 12,386, Iran's medical official said.
'Those killed included 237 men and 246 women,” Iranian Legal Medicine Organization Kermanshah office Artin Kamali told Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Sunday.
“Legal Medicine Organization have listed the names of all who were killed but one person is yet unidentified,” he added.
Tehran, Nov 25, IRNA – The second humanitarian aid consignment was sent by Iranian residents in France to quake-stricken people in western Iran.
The aids which were sent to Iran on Friday consisted 98 packages weighing 1,513 kg.
The first aid shipment, including 52 packages, was sent to Iran on November 21.
The 7.3-magnitude earthquake on November 12 shook the western Iranian province of Kermanshah and the regions bordering Iraq last week killing at least 456 people and injuring over ten thousands others.

Tehran, Nov 14, IRNA – A 4.3 earthquake on the richter scale rocked Qasr-e-Shirin city in Kermanshah Province on Tuesday evening.
The quake, occurring at 18:46 hours local time, was registered in Ezgeleh suburbs in Kermanshah Province.
Kermanshah Province has experienced over 200 aftershocks since Sunday night.
Tehran University's Seismographic Center said the 4.3 degree quake was registered 10 kms deep inside the ground.
The Sunday night quake has reportedly left 432 people dead and 7,817 others injured.

Khorramabad, Nov 14, IRNA - An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale rocked Kuhdasht city, Lorestan Province, western Iran, on Tuesday.
According to the seismological center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the tremor occurred at 7:58 hours local time (4:28 GMT Tuesday) in an area located at 47.55 degrees longitude and 33.84 degrees latitude and in the depth of 10 kilometers.
There is no immediate report on possible casualties or damage.
