Our most complex humanitarian aid mission was completed on the 18th of April.

We identified 10 schools and 300 children who required essential school goods to help them recover from the tsunami disaster.

Preparations in advance of the mission included finding out the shoe sizes of all 300 children in order that we could present them all with a pair of shoes that we knew would fit every child. Our man in Colombo. Inthikahb Wazeer did a terrific job by liasing with the Director of Education in the region, Mr M. L. A.

Welcome to srilankadirect.org - newsletter of the UK based organisation providing aid direct to Sri Lanka.

The group was set up in the aftermath of the Tsunami through a partnership between friends in the UK and Sri Lanka.

Our first humanitarian effort consisted of two vehicles carrying relief packs to Batticaloa on Sri Lanka's east coast on the 5th of January.

On the 5th of January, our partners in Sri Lanka travelled from Colombo to Batticaloa on the east coast of Sri Lanka with goods to the value of =A32862 to provide immediate relief to the families who had lost their homes due to the Tsunami. This is a list of the goods delivered.
