The Red Cross Society of China provided 6,000 boxes of instant noodles worth 300,000 RMB to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on 16th, January 2012, in the requirement of the DPRK Red Cross.

Asked by RCSC, Liaoning provincial red cross bought disaster relief food and transferred them to Sinuiju from Dandong city.

Serious flood in DPRK led to crop failure in 2011.

The Chinese Embassy in Philippines handed over $30,000 donation from China’s Red Cross to Philippines Red Cross headquarters on 7th, November 2011.

The Secretary-General of the Philippine Red Cross accepted the funds which are used to help victims in the typhoon-hit areas and showed her appreciation to Chinese people.

It has passed one and half a year since Qinghai Earthquake which caused nearly 3,000 dead and huge damage in Yushu region on April 14, 2010.

Though a part of facilities and houses has finished reconstruction, the severe natural environment of highland area with 3,700-4,500M above sea level and long winter has made it hard to achieve quick recovery. Many local residents still stay in tents preparing for their 2nd cold season after quake.

The second batch of emergency humanitarian aid material provided by Red Cross Society of China has arrived in Tripoli, Libya on 11th October, 2011.

As a member of the international Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, the RCSC has been closely followed the humanitarian crisis caused by the Libyan war.

The 2nd batch of materials includes rice, oil and drugs and will arrive at Tripoli airport on 11th, 14th and 15th October.

The Red Cross Society of China allocated about 1.3 million RMB of disaster relief materials to Hainan, Guangdong and Guangxi province respectively.

A batch of family package worth 790,000 RMB was sent to Hainan and Guangdong red cross branches on 30th Sept. to help local disaster relief work caused by Nesat.

A total of 2,000 family packages worth of 480,000 RMB was sent to Guangxi, anther typhoon-hit area on 2nd Oct.

To help disaster relief work, Red Cross Society of China donated two batches of funds and materials to Tibet earthquake-hit areas and Sichuan, Shaanxi, Henan flood-hit areas respectively.

A total of 200,000 yuan in cash and disaster relief materials worth 1.86 million yuan is handed to Tibet quake-hit areas and Sichuan, Shaanxi, Henan flood-hit areas as an emergency aid in a few days. Two relief working groups from RCSC headed to Sichuan and Shaanxi to help local work.

Since the beginning of summer this year, Guizhou Province suffers a severe drought. The Guizhou Provincial Red Cross Branch has raised a total of CNY 5 million worth of drought assistance goods, and started to transport them to severely affected areas across the province on August 19th. As of August 28, CNY 3.6 million worth of goods have been delivered to 14 severely affected counties in 9 prefectures. The goods include rice, cooking oil, water pumps and plowing machines etc.

The first batch of China’s emergency humanitarian aid will arrive in Benghazi of Libya on 19th, August, 2011.

The Red Cross Society of China will provide about 50 million yuan relief materials to Libya during the Islamic festival of Ramadan and the first 90 ton of rice, oil and pharmaceuticals has sent out on 18th August and would get there next day.

Red Cross Society of China allocated 8 million yuan humanitarian aid to drought areas of east Africa.

Of the aid, 2 million yuan assistance is for the Kenyan Red Cross, 2 million yuan for the Ethiopian Red Cross and 4 million yuan for other affected countries through the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Society.

The east Africa is experiencing the most serious drought and famine since the 1980s. 12.4 million refugees in Somalia, Kenya, Djibouti and Ethiopia is in need of rescue.

On July 31, "Chinese Red Cross donation information release platform" was on-line for test run, which first released Yushu earthquake donations information and fund balance used in the situation.

To promote the donation information of open, transparent, Red Cross Society of China (RCSC) has been developing “the Chinese Red Cross donor database" since the end of 2010.

Yushu Longbao boarding primary school, the first rebuild project aided by Red Cross Society of China after Yushu earthquake disaster completed on 29th June.

RCSC allocated 36.33 million RMB to this school after 4.14 Yushu earthquake in order to make about 1000 students continue their study as soon as possible.

The secretary of Qinghai province CPC Qiang Wei, the vice mayor of Beijing Hong Feng, the vice president of RCSC Hao Linna and teachers and students of school attended completion ceremony.

A large number of materials are sent to Hubei and Zhejiang province from the Red Cross Society of China to help local flood relief work on 20th June.

1000 boxes of drinking water disinfectant, 1100 boxes of environmental disinfectant and 500 quilts are allocated to Zhengjiang province while 2400 jackets, 1000 boxes of drinking water disinfectant, 2000 boxes of environmental disinfectant and 50 single tents to Hubei province.

The Red Cross Society of China (RCSC) Thursday announced that it had made donation of 100,000 yuan and other materials valued 1.5 million yuan to help relief efforts in the rainstorm-hit areas in southern China.

RCSC allocated a total of 1,400 family packages, 1,000 jackets, 1,000 quilts, 3,600 boxes of environmental disinfectants and 2,200 boxes of drinking water disinfectants to Guizhou, Hunan, Hubei provinces. A professional drinking-water rescue team sent by RCSC also arrived at disaster areas.

The Red Cross Society of China (RCSC) on 10th June allocated 400 family health kit and 500 boxes of drinking warter disinfectant to Hubei Province. All of those relief goods were shipped from DP center in the Province for supporting local Red Cross relief operation.

The Hubei Provincial branch has launched the 3rd level of emergency response to carry out relief opeartion. Meanwhile, an ERU sent by provincial RC has started to affected area to assess floods situation and distribute the relief supplies to victims.

To deal with the flooding in some south provinces, Red Cross Society of China (RCSC) on 7th June allocated 1000 quilts and 500 family health kit to southwest Guizhou Province, 580 family health kit and 600 boxes of disinfectant to Hunan Province. All of those relief goods were shipped from DP center in Hunan Province for supporting local Red Cross relief operation.

The Red Cross Society of China (RCSC) held a Sichuan earthquake reconstruction report meeting in Chengdu, Sichuan province on 5th May.

To commemorate the third anniversary of Sichuan earthquake, RCSC launched a series of activities.

In the meeting, RCSC released the financial report and management of donation from the Red Cross system and the reconstruction results the Red Cross system involved in.

The Red Cross Society of China has received a total of 31.73 million yuan donation until 15th April for Japan earthquake areas.

Of the donation, 26 million yuan had been allocated to Japan Red Cross, 20000 yuan been used for the staff taken part in the international federation of senior support group disaster management work in Japan and left 5.71 million yuan now.

A pump truck valued 6 million yuan had been donated to Japan by SANY Group Co.,Ltd through the Red Cross Society of China according to Tokyo Electric Power Company’s requirement.

The third sum of 20 million yuan from the Red Cross Society (RCSC) of China was provided on 29th March to Japan earthquake-hit areas to help disaster-relief work and rebuilding .

It's the third donation from RCSC after the Japanese earthquake in 11th this month. A total of 26 million yuan had been offered by now.
