TEHRAN, Oct. 6 (IRCS) _ Red Crescent offered relief to over 6,000 flood victims during the past 4 days in 6 provinces of Gilan, Mazandaran, Golestan, North Khorasan, Isfahan, and Yazd.
“6990 people were offered relief by the Red Crescent, 143 people transferred to safe places, and 327 were given emergency shelters in either Red Crescent bases or mosques.” said Morteza Salimi, head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society’s Relief and Rescue Organization.
Red Crescent relief workers also transferred 12 injured to medical centers, 9 received outpatient treatment services.

ZAHEDAN, Sept. 7 (IRCS)_ An earthquake that shook Iranshahr County, Iran's southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan, on Friday morning killed one and injured two people. Relief services were provided by Red Crescent to the affected areas.
A magnitude 5.6 quake shook Rigan County of Iran's southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan at 10:53 a.m. local time on September 7. The quake happened at the 10-kilometer depth of the ground surface. It cracked the walls of several rural houses. The quake was felt in the neighboring province of Kerman.

It was felt in districts of Kermanshah and Kurdistan Provinces and led people to flee out their houses.
ZAHEDAN, Aug. 25 (IRCS) _ Red Crescent teams have provided filtered masks and food items to the people who have been affected by a dust storm in Iran’s southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchistan.
Sistan and Baluchistan is suffering the harshest climatic conditions these days. However, it is nearly 20 years that the province is being hurt by drought.
The Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) is providing support for those living in the province, considered to be the second largest Iranian province.
KERMANSHAH, Aug. 26 (IRCS) _ Red Crescent has dispatched operational teams to earthquake-affected regions of Kermanshah province, which has so far killed two.
A 5.9 magnitude earthquake hit Tazeh-abad district, Thalath-i-Babajani county, western province of Kermanshah at 2:43 a.m. local time on August 26. The quake happened at the 8-kilometer depth of the ground surface.
The quake killed two: a 70-year-old man in Thalath-i-Babajani county, and a pregnant woman in Eslamabad-e Gharb, both by heart attack. The quake has injured 267 people so far.
ZAHEDAN (IRGC), Aug. 15 (IRCS) _ Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has launched a humanitarian campaign under the title of “Water Offering” to offer services to the deprived people of the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan. Over 50,000 in-kind contributions have been provided to the needy by benefactors.
This campaign is mounted in three sections, including, “health”, “providing clean water”, and “livelihoods services”. For this purpose, Iranian Red Crescent dispatched 19 health caravans from different provinces to Sistan and Baluchestan.
ZAHEDAN, Aug 5, (IRCS) _ Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) dispatched 19 health caravans to cities of the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan which are affected by drought and serious shortage of water.
The caravans consist of volunteer specialized doctors of orthopedics, cardiology, neurology, obstetrics, ophthalmology, dentistry, and surgery who render free health and treatment services to deprived people for one week.

The quake hit the region at 14: 45 p.m. local time on Sunday, July 22, 2018, at the 8-kilometer depth of ground surface.

BOJNOURD, July 18 (IRCS) _ Red Crescent has provided emergency shelter for 30 rural earthquake-affected households in Sankhast City, the northeastern Province of North Khorasan.
A magnitude 4.9 earthquake struck Sankhast city in Jajarm County on Tuesday, July 18, at 8:28 a.m. local time. The quake happened at the 9-meter depth of ground surface.
The quake left no deaths or injuries, but caused cracks in several buildings in villages.
TEHRAN, May. 24 (IRCS) A flood caused by heavy rains in the Northern county of Shemiranat, Tehran Province, killed one person. The Red Crescent’s operational teams responded to the affected people, saving 89 people.
On Wednesday afternoon, May 23, heavy rains along Jajroud river in Roudbar Qasran, Shemiranat county, Tehran province, led to the overflow of rivers, flooding, blockage of the arteries and damage to houses and vehicles. Shemiranat neighbors Tehran, Iranian capitah, in the north and northeast.
TEHRAN, May. 14 (IRCS) _ Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS) relief teams reached out to more than 8,000 people affected by flood in several regions of the country.
