The members of the Security Council condemned in the strongest terms the heinous incidents of sexual and gender-based violence against women near Bentiu in northern South Sudan in recent weeks.

The members of the Security Council expressed deep concern about the well-being of the victims, who, according to reports, included more than 150 women and girls who were attacked by armed men in military and civilian clothing, in Government-controlled areas throughout Rubkona County.

Summary

The present report, submitted pursuant to Security Council resolution 1612 (2005) and subsequent resolutions, is the second report on the situation of children and armed conflict in the Syrian Arab Republic submitted to the Council and its subsidiary Working Group on Children and Armed Conflict. The report is based on verified information on grave violations against children committed by all parties to the conflict in the Syrian Arab Republic during the period from 16 November 2013 to 30 June 2018.

Il leur demande notamment d’aider à élaborer et à exécuter des plans de préparation, d’opérations, de liaison et de collaboration avec des gouvernements de la région et ceux qui prêtent assistance.
