Repatriation of registered Afghan refugees figures were similar to 636 refugees that repatriated between 1 and 7 April 2018. Return of undocumented Afghans decreased slightly compared to last week’s figure of 1,003.

Some 94% (938 individuals) of the undocumented returnees were provided with needs-based assistance while 98% (624 individuals) of the registered Afghan refugee returnees were provided with cash assistance.

Repatriation of registered Afghan refugees decreased slightly this week compared to 676 refugees that repatriated between 25 and 31 March 2018. Return of undocumented Afghans increased slightly compared to last week’s figure of 987. Some 96% (963 individuals) of the undocumented returnees were provided with needs-based assistance while 95% (606 individuals) of the registered Afghan refugee returnees were provided with cash assistance.

Repatriation of registered Afghan refugees doubled this week compared to 337 refugees that repatriated between 18 and 24 March 2018. Return of undocumented Afghans also increased, by 37%, compared to last week’s figure of 720. Some 96% (946 individuals) of the undocumented returnees were provided with needs-based assistance while 98% (661 individuals) of the registered Afghan refugee returnees were provided with cash assistance.

Repatriation of registered Afghan refugees decreased slightly compared to 357 refugees that repatriated between 11 and 17 March 2018. Return of undocumented Afghans also decreased, by 9%, compared to last week’s figure of 789.
Some 94% (676 individuals) of the undocumented returnees were provided with needs-based assistance while 97% (326 individuals) of the registered Afghan refugee returnees were provided with cash assistance.

During the period of 15 September to 28 February, 891 families returned to North Waziristan Agency. Although IDP returns are not officially open, a small number of families have chosen to return during the winter season. The government has not yet announced the opening of 2018 returns.

11 Dec 2017 description

Repatriation of registered Afghan refugees was 34% less compared to 688 refugees that repatriated between 19 and 25 November 2017. Return of undocumented Afghans decreased by 14% compared to last week’s figure of 666 individuals.
Some 74% (427 individuals) of the undocumented returnees were provided with needs-based assistance while 98% (447 individuals) of the registered Afghan refugee returnees were provided with cash assistance. UNHCR has suspended the voluntary repatriation program from 1 December for the winter break.

Repatriation of registered Afghan refugees was 26% more compared to 545 refugees that repatriated between 12 and 18 November 2017. The return of undocumented Afghans decreased by 22% compared to last week’s figure of 850 individuals.

Some 92% (616 individuals) of the undocumented returnees were provided with needs-based assistance while 98% (672 individuals) of the registered Afghan refugee returnees were provided with cash assistance.

There was no significant change in Afghan returns during the reporting week. Repatriation of registered Afghan refugees was only 3% more compared to 529 refugees that repatriated between 5 and 11 November 2017. The return of undocumented Afghans remained similar to last week’s figure of 844 individuals.

Some 92% (780 individuals) of the undocumented returnees were provided with needs-based assistance while 98% (532 individuals) of the registered Afghan refugee returnees were provided with cash assistance.

16 Nov 2017 description

Repatriation of registered Afghan refugees was 22% less compared to 678 refugees that repatriated between 29 October and 4 November 2017. The return of undocumented Afghans also decreased, by 13%, compared to last week’s figure of 968 individuals.

Some 86% (724 individuals) of the undocumented returnees were provided with needs-based assistance while 98% (521 individuals) of the registered Afghan refugee returnees were provided with cash assistance.

Repatriation of registered Afghan refugees was 17% less compared to 819 refugees that repatriated between 22 and 28 October 2017. The return of undocumented Afghans increased by 5% compared to last week’s figure of 923 individuals.
Some 88% (851 individuals) of the undocumented returnees were provided with needs-based assistance while 96% (649 individuals) of the registered Afghan refugee returnees were provided with cash assistance.

Repatriation of registered Afghan refugees was 10% less compared to 905 refugees that repatriated between 15 and 21 October 2017. The return of undocumented Afghans also decreased, by 13%, compared to last week’s figure of 1,059 individuals.
Some 88% (814 individuals) of the undocumented returnees were provided with needs-based assistance while 98% (806 individuals) of the registered Afghan refugee returnees were provided with cash assistance.

Some 91% (1,009 individuals) of the undocumented returnees were provided with needs-based assistance while 97% (1,156 individuals) of the registered Afghan refugee returnees were provided with cash assistance.

Some 89% (1,010 individuals) of the undocumented returnees were provided with needs-based assistance while 96% (929 individuals) of the registered Afghan refugee returnees were provided with cash assistance.
