The towns of Baashiqa and Bahzani (hereafter referred to as Baashiqa), located in the Ninewa Plains, 13 km northeast of Mosul city have historically hosted a diverse set of population groups and a majority of residents are reported to be Yezidi. Apart from Yezidis, these groups include Christians, Shia Muslims, Sunni Muslims, and Shabak.
Tabbaneh is a predominantly residential neighbourhood in eastern Tripoli, on the east banks of Abu Ali River. It falls within the jurisdiction of Tripoli Municipality, in Lebanon’s North Governorate. It is a low-income, disadvantaged neighbourhood, exhibiting a relative fragility in terms of historically rooted tensions affecting the security situation, weak public social and basic urban services provision, and limited livelihood opportunities. Covering an area of 0.42 km2, it accommodates 20,449 people, the vast majority (82.9 percent) of whom are Lebanese.
Jordan is home to over 667,000 Syrian refugees , and more than 85,000 refugees of other nationalities. While 18.8% of Syrians live in the three refugee camps of Zaatari, Azraq and the Emirati Jordanian Camp, the remainder (more than 80%) of Syrians live in cities, towns and rural areas across the Kingdom.

This is the tenth Ebola virus disease (EVD) outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) since the discovery of the virus in 1976. Genetic analysis of the viral strains showed that there is no link between this outbreak and the recent outbreak in Equateur province.

The completeness of reporting of public hospitals across Syria remained 100%, where all 98 Ministry of Health (MoH) hospitals and 13 Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) hospitals continued to report to HeRAMS in May 2018.

In an effort to inform cash-based interventions and better understand market dynamics in Libya, the Joint Market Monitoring Initiative (JMMI) was created by the Libya Cash & Markets Working Group (CMWG) in June 2017. The 2017 JAM sought to assess in particular issues of refugee dependence on food assistance, issues of targeting and vulnerability, the capacity of refugees to meet their own food needs through livelihood opportunities and the suitability of cash based transfers to meet refugees’ food needs.
The DTM Rapid Response Site Assessment tool is designed to provide detailed information at site level for emergencies occurring outside the DTM Mobility Tracking data collection periods. IDP community leaders collaborated closely with IOM as key informants during the assessment. The aim of this assessment is to provide the humanitarian community with up-to-date information on the locations, needs and demographics of displaced populations.
Introduction and methodology
This profile provides a multisector overview of conditions in Cox’s Bazar District. Data for the findings were collected from March 7 th to March 27th 2018 as part of the Settlement and Protection Profiling exercise funded by UNHCR and implemented by REACH.
