Citi Foundation, FedEx, Aerocasillas Support Vital Airlift

Washington, D.C., November 12, 2009 - An emergency shipment of tents, tarps and other critical supplies are being rushed to El Salvador to aid the survivors of devastating Hurricane Ida, the Pan American Development Foundation announced.

Thirteen pallets with a special shelter kit - which also includes water purification tablets, canteens, cooking equipment and more - arrives Friday to San Salvador.

Port-au-Prince, Haiti (September 9, 2008) - Nearly 500 survivors of Hurricanes Gustav and Ike are out of the rain tonight thanks to temporary shelters that were provided by Citi through its Citi Foundation and flown to Haiti by FedEx, the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) announced today.

"Corporate partners like FedEx and Citi saw an immediate need and were able to meet it," says Amy Coughenour, Deputy Director of the Pan American Development Foundation.

FedEx made special arrangements to send one of its planes with relief supplies.
