Child trafficking is a Human Rights issue. Child trafficking is not a new phenomenon, but in recent years it has re-emerged as a global problem, and is becoming a serious challenge in Asia, home to more than one billion of the world's poor people who are also being considered as very vulnerable. Trafficking in women and children for sexual exploitation has victimized more than 30 million in Asia alone. It is one of the most devastating and fastest growing problems in the region.
