In a region where agriculture is a critical source of employment and income, environmental degradation, and declining and more variable productivity, could potentially cause significant displacements, posing challenges in a region already beset by instability.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) expressed on Thursday its deep gratitude to the State of Kuwait for the extraordinary contribution of US$ 42.1 million received on 14 November, bringing Kuwait’s contributions towards the UNRWA Programme Budget in 2018 to over US$ 50 million.
