With this report, the officials can understand urban disaster risk, issues and countermeasures against the urban disaster risks or critical points regarding to DRR, mainstreaming DRR into urban planning and management including regulation of land use and development through reading the guidebook.

The Singapore Government has offered to send humanitarian supplies and personnel to assist Indonesia with the ongoing relief efforts following the earthquakes and tsunami in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia on 28 September 2018.

The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) will deliver humanitarian supplies and equipment, including tents, meal rations and medical supplies via two Republic of Singapore Air Force C-130 aircraft. Thereafter, the aircraft will continue to assist Indonesia with disaster relief efforts, such as the evacuation of civilians from the affected areas.

The Singapore Government has offered to send humanitarian supplies and equipment as well as personnel to assist Laos with the flood relief efforts following the collapse of the Xe Pian-Xe Namnoy hydropower dam in Attapeu Province, Laos on 23 July 2018. The Singapore Government will make a contribution of US$100,000 as seed money to kick start the public fundraising appeal by the Singapore Red Cross.

Update on the Dengue situation in the Western Pacific Region

Cambodia

As of 31 May 2018, a total of 960 suspected dengue cases have been reported in Cambodia. In weeks 20 and 21, 2018, there were 131 and 135 new suspected dengue cases respectively. The number of reported dengue cases have increased compared to the previous weeks, above the alert threshold level (Figure 1).

As of 15 May 2018, a total of 694 suspected dengue cases have been reported in Cambodia. In weeks 18 and 19, there were 81 and 99 new suspected dengue cases, respectively. In weeks 18 and 19, the number of reported dengue cases has increased compared to the previous week, above the alert threshold level (Figure 1).
