Las fuertes lluvias han estado afectando varias áreas del sureste de Colombia lo que ha provocado el desbordamiento de los ríos.
Según los medios locales, más de 9.500 familias se han visto afectadas por las inundaciones en los departamentos de Guainia y Vichada.
Durante las próximas 48 horas lluvias más fuertes con tormentas localizadas pueden continuar afectando las áreas ya afectadas

Drought, earthquakes, floods, typhoons, volcanoes, and civil unrest, compounded by limited government response capacity in some countries, present significant challenges to vulnerable populations in the East Asia and the Pacific (EAP) region. Between FY 2008 and FY 2017, USAID’s Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance (USAID/OFDA) and USAID’s Office of Food for Peace (USAID/FFP) provided humanitarian assistance in response to a range of natural and complex emergencies in the region.

- The government of the Republic of Korea will offer an additional 2.6 million US dollars in human assistance to a large number of Rohingya people who moved to Bangladesh after the armed clashes in Rakhine State, Myanmar, on August 25, as well as in emergency food assistance to those remaining in that part of Myanmar.
So far, a total of 655,000 Rohingya people have moved to Bangladesh since the armed clashes in Rakhine State, Myanmar.
Cox’s Bazar, 17 December 2017 – The Government of the Republic of Korea has committed US$ 500,000 to assist UNFPA Bangladesh with its crucial response to the unique sexual reproductive health and protection needs of women and girls affected by the ongoing Rohingya humanitarian crisis.

The government of the Republic of Korea will provide humanitarian aid worth US$1.5 million through the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for emergency assistance to hundreds of thousands of refugees who have fled to Bangladesh since the violent clashes in Myanmar’s Rakhine State.
