To provide an overview of the new/revised provisions established by the new PRAG 2018
Procurement processes are often a key element in EU-funded Actions, especially in the case of humanitarian aid. However, no specific manual or practical guidance is provided, as concrete regulations have to be translated into organisational procurement procedures. But how to be sure that such procedures comply with the basic principles and standards expected by the EU?
The European Union is one of the most important donors supporting NGOs’ actions in development cooperation. It can be considered a “generous” donor, ready to allocate huge funds for development cooperation projects, but also a demanding one. In fact, the application procedures and the implementing rules are quite complex for beginners and often discourage small NGOs to apply for EU funds.
Make the most from the practical overview of all aspects related to financial management of EU funded projects, starting from the preparation of a proper and realistic budget, to the procedures for modifying it in case of changed circumstances, to the procurement of supplies, services and works, to financial reporting, expenditure verification and audit. The course will focus on DG DEVCO and DG NEAR.
Improve your skills in getting EU funds and managing your EU- funded actions: get inside the EU programming and funding system, be ready for direct negotiations with the EU delegations or the EC to get funds and be aware on the main project implementing rules.
This e-learning is composed by three lessons and will give you a specific and practical overview of all aspects related to EU funding with a particular focus on the new set of rules included in the PAGoDA (Pillar Assessed Grant or Delegation Agreement).
