This Certificate aims to reinforce the knowledge and skills that you require to confront current challenges faced by humanitarian actors working in complex environments. The course emphasizes adaptive and flexible strategies and projects. It focuses on your actual working environment and enables you to reflect on your current practice as you learn.
Directly following each edition of the Core Training, PHAP is offering a series of Issue Roundtables looking in greater detail at specific topics in a discussion-based setting over one and a half days.
This course introduces humanitarian practitioners and policy professionals to the international legal frameworks and standards that protect refugees, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and forced migrants, including international refugee law (IRL), the relevant provisions of international humanitarian law (IHL) and international human rights law (IHRL), and soft-law instruments. It also aims to foster reflection among participants on how States, international organizations, and other actors implement these norms and standards in practice.
The future of African small-scale producers depends on their ability to play an active and meaningful role in market dynamics. By effectively participating in and influencing the value chains that link them to suppliers, traders and consumers, smallholders will be able to earn more from their crops, livestock and small businesses.

About the course:
This unique programme brings together the defensive driving training skills of the OnCourse Uganda team with the international security expertise of Trident Manor to provide drivers operating in Africa (or other difficult or hostile environments) with the skills to improve their driving skills & abilities and proactively manage the risks that they may face.
The programme is centred around proactive risk identification, avoidance and management so that the impacts of natural, environmental or human hazards are significantly reduced.
This 5 days intensive training workshop exposes participants to the use of GIS in programs with respect to Data Sources, Mapping, Infield Practical Applications, Technology and Timeline for implementation.
