Making Mediation & Peace Processes Work: Peacemaking in Deeply Divided Societies and Challenging Conflicts is a unique three-day Advanced Professional Training designed for governments, UN agencies and missions, and national and international organisations working with mediation, negotiations, dialogue processes (from community to national and inter-party levels), peacemaking, and peace processes. The programme is intended for expert mediators and parties to mediation and negotiation processes seeking to identify measures to strengthen and improve their processes.

Course Description

This course is intended to clarify the concepts of C4SD by focusing on social and ecological approaches to address policy advocacy, analyzing risk behaviors related to health and how to induce behavior change through strategic communication and infrastructure (power, supply) that affect the ability to communicate. Emphasis will be on how cultural, social, economic and political factors influence the individual’s choices and behavior in relation to health, prevention of diseases and health-seeking behaviors.

Our Programme

CERAH's short course on negotiation in humanitarian settings aims to provide programme managers with the necessary skills to efficiently negotiate with stakeholders and useful tools to design a negotiation strategy adapted to their specific professional context.

The course is given by external speakers, including academics and practitioners from different institutions and organizations such as the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights, ICRC and Doctors without Borders.
