Inclusive Collaboration: Project Management in International Settings

Dates

E-learning self-paced: starting from 27 April, to be completed on our e-learning platform (6 hours) On-location: 11-12-13 May 2026

Description: Working with international teams often means navigating complexity. What starts as a straightforward discussion can quickly surface hidden power relations within the team, the organisation, or with partners. Different perspectives, rooted in diverse norms, cultures and experiences, shape collaboration in unexpected ways. This diversity can either create tension or open the door to richer, more innovative solutions.

The key challenge is ensuring that everyone feels safe and valued, so they can contribute their full potential. At the same time, leaders and facilitators need to harness international diversity to drive collective progress towards a shared goal.

This short course equips you with practical tools and Theory of Change thinking to plan and collaborate inclusively in international settings. We share knowledge, facilitation methods and MDF’s 40 years of global experience working with people from over 200 countries.

**By the end of the course, you will:**‍

  • Gain a deeper understanding of cultural and collaboration dynamics
  • Recognise and analyse power and positionality in international settings
  • Design and facilitate an inclusive Theory of Change (ToC)
  • Analyse a monitoring system that reflects diverse voices
  • Facilitate meaningful dialogues that lead to shared ownership of change
