Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) DPro

Description

If you’re a humanitarian or global development professional, you need to know how to use MEAL (monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning). Why? Because if you don’t know, the work won’t be carried out as effectively. And you’ll also continue to wonder why others on your team or in partner NGOs are asking for certain data or talking about accountability management. The more you understand, the more likely the project will succeed, and your mission will move forward. Our MEAL Dpro training provides you with all the skills and knowledge you need.

Beyond understanding, you’ll gain tools and templates you can use going forward.

What you will learn

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • Design logic models using structures like a theory of change, results frameworks, and logical frameworks (also known as logframes)
  • Use practical tools like performance management plans, indicator performance tracking tables, summary evaluation tables, and more
  • Collect data by using qualitative and quantitative tools, accurate sampling methods, and proven data management practices
  • Analyze MEAL data by using descriptive and inferential statistics as well as qualitative methods to analyze, interpret, and visualize MEAL data
  • Understand how to use MEAL data to inform project decisions, communicate with stakeholders, and adaptively manage teams and projects
