Do you work on the delivery of public services, such as water and sanitation, waste management, health, education, or social security? Are you looking for ways to localise development and make services more effective and accessible to all citizens? There are a few spots left for our course Inclusive Service Delivery and the SDGs, from 5 to 16 May in The Hague.
Participants will share challenges, exchange lessons learned, and visit practical examples of innovations in service delivery. Guided by high level, international experts, they will discuss, a.o.:
- Roles and responsibilities of the different layers of government a.o. by applying the MOOD-assessment
- Innovative tools and methods for financing services at the local level
- Opportunities for cooperation with the private sector in public-private partnerships
- Best practices of community engagement to make services more responsive and inclusive, such as the use of ‘citizen science’ in the City of Dordrecht
- How to become a ‘Global Goal’ municipality, with staff of the City of The Hague presenting anti-poverty and urban water solutions, as part of their strategy to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals
Fee information
The course fee is € 3,895*. This includes all training related costs as well as drinks and warm lunches during the training days. Group discounts are available if you participate with three or more colleagues.Professionals working in local government or for local NGOs on the DAC list of ODA-recipient countries (OECD) may qualify for a 50% fee reduction.
