Based on SRS' extensive experience of delivering HEAT to all types of organisations over many years and own operational support to humanitarian missions we now offer a EU regulations compliant public HEAT course.
About the course
The course aims to prepare you as an individual by giving you an increased ability to take control of your own safety & security situation before, during and after completing your assignments - to "be your own Security Manager" no matter what context you perform in. Prevent unwanted situations as far as possible and mitigate the effects if they happen. The course meets EU and Swedish government specifications for HEAT training.

Completing the course will give you a certificate meeting EU requirements for HEAT.
Course design and content
The course is a Blended Learning design where you start with theory online and then practice it when we meet face to face. You are supported by the same instructors you'll met for the practical part when completing the online theory.
- Theory online - 1 day over a period of 2 weeks
You cover course subjects using videos, texts, downloadable content and by completing reflective tasks to prepare you for the practical part. - Practical training - 4 days
Case and experience based situations focusing on decision making, hands-on practical skills and creating individual action plans for upcoming workplace use.

General information
The course is held in Hagalund in Solna just 15 minutes away by public transport from Stockholm city.
No previous experience needed.
The course needs at least 10 participants to run.
Keeping with course content and training methods there will be content that can be experienced as stressful and a bit physically demanding, all depending on personal status. There are no formal skills requirements to pass the course other than taking part. Personal feedback can be given on individual level focusing on recommendations how to use own strengths and developing own challenges, seen from the instructors' viewpoint.
