Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning

Capturing the essential quantitative and qualitative results of your programme has become increasingly important. How to design an M&E system that goes beyond tracking activities? Learn to show what has changed as a result of your project or programme, and how you can enable genuine learning by all actors. This course in Ede, the Netherlands, provides you with an extended set of relevant, practical and participatory M&E methodologies and tools to boost your programme and organisational accountability, decision-making and learning practices.

The course is conducted in English.

After this course, you will be able to:

  • Know how to turn M&E into a participative and systematic learning practice

Dates

E-learning self-paced: 12 hours, to be completed from 15/09/2025 to 06/10/2025 on our e-learning platform. On-location: 07 to 16 October 2025 (7 hours per day)

Your profile

You are an M&E officer or advisor and are responsible for improving M&E practices in organisations. You are a project or programme manager and responsible for project design and implementation. You have at least one year of experience with M&E and/or some practical experience working with M&E tools and methodologies.

Blended course

In this course, we offer a blended learning trajectory that combines online self-paced learning and in-person training. For the first 3 weeks, you learn through our online learning platform, taking 2-4 hours per week. The in-person phase includes 8 days in Ede, the Netherlands. During these days you will work in groups on developing an M&E framework for a case and on your individual M&E plan. At the end of the course, you will take up the role of an M&E advisor, by visiting an NGO in the Netherlands and applying what you have learned.

Fee information

€3725 (VAT exempted)
The course fee covers the entire course, lunch and coffee/snacks during the face-to-face sessions. It doesn't cover hotel accommodation or other expenses.
