Management of Development Projects and Programmes

You work with numerous stakeholders in a multi-cultural context. You have many tasks. How to plan, manage, monitor and evaluate your interventions so you achieve results and learn in a complex environment? You need to deal with challenges related to communication, negotiations, and human resource management. You also have to assess and boost your own and partner's organisational capacities. This is a comprehensive course that prepares you for all these circumstances, and includes study visits and real-life experiences.

The course is conducted in English.

By the end of this course you will

  • Understand relevant methods for results-based planning, like Theory of Change and result chain
  • Do M&E for your projects, setting indicators, make monitoring plans and define evaluation criteria
  • Link your intervention to the Sustainable Development Goals and the project cycle
  • Manage your staff and teams effectively. Enhance communication and steer on equality and diversity
  • Know how to assess your own and your partner’s organisational capacity

Your profile

You are a manager, a head of a department, team or a project manager. You work for social change and development in a head or field office. Some management experience is essential to grasp and apply the concepts in practice.

Fee information

€ 5980 (VAT exempted)
The course fee covers the entire course, lunch and coffee/snacks during the face-to-face sessions. It doesn't cover hotel accommodation or other expenses.
