The Pharmaceutical Supply Chain (PSC) is a key component of the pharmaceutical system, functioning like a wheel where each component of the management support system is essential for ensuring the cycle moves smoothly. If one of the management support systems does not function, the wheel stops turning, and the cycle is disrupted. Effective management plays a crucial role in every aspect of the pharmaceutical system.
This course is designed for pharmacists, doctors, nurses, and other health professionals with a minimum of 1-2 years of demonstrated experience in pharmacy—either within national health programmes or in related areas such as pharmacy, hospitals, health centres, senior management roles, or industry. Participants will analyse key areas within each phase of the cycle: selection, procurement, storage, distribution, and usage, and will be encouraged to apply these concepts to a real-world case study.
