How easily can persons with disabilities access early warning systems for droughts and floods? To what extent are organisations of persons with disabilities included in developing early action plans? And how can we develop inclusive and resilient community programmes at a time of growing risk from disasters?
Disability inclusive disaster risk reduction (DIDRR) is at the heart of CBM’s work in Community Based Inclusive Development. This year, aligned with the theme of this year’s International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction, ‘fighting inequality for a resilient future’, CBM organised a webinar to address these questions and explore key contemporary issues in DIDRR.
Find out more about two new DIDRR publications from CBM and hear the perspective of an OPD member and disability rights advocate.
