Join us for an online roundtable discussion on 9 May 2022 to hear more about how the Multi-Religious Council of Leaders (MRCL) works to promote protection and solutions for refugees, stateless, and internally displaced people.
Following remarks by Filippo Grandi, UN High Commissioner for Refugees and Prof. Dr. Azza Karam, Secretary-General of Religions for Peace, Members of the MRCL will be joined by Ms. Gillian Triggs, UNHCR Assistant High Commissioner for Protection, for an interactive discussion on their continuing work to assist Refugees, Stateless and Internally Displaced People at a time of unprecedented forced displacement globally.
The MRCL consists of twenty religious leaders representing the world’s diverse faith traditions with a track record of serving as advocates for conflict prevention, reconciliation, peacebuilding and social cohesion in challenging humanitarian and forced displacement contexts. Council members have experience building culture of peace that protects the most vulnerable, especially those at risk of gender-based violence.
Simultaneous interpretation will be available in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, and Thai. Please send in your questions in advance.
