Rift Valley Institute Great Lakes Course 2020
The Great Lakes Field Course offers a regional and thematic approach to understanding politics, security and development in Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Rwanda, and Uganda. The course is in English and French, with simultaneous translation. The 2020 course will be directed by Yolande Bouka, along with a team of leading specialists.

RVI's three field courses offer a unique opportunity to spend an intensive week with leading experts and fellow participants, away from routine distractions. The courses are designed for policy-makers, diplomats, investors, development workers, researchers, activists and journalists—for new arrivals to the region and those already working there who wish to deepen their understanding. This year all three courses will be taking place in Kenya in June.
