Developing Coaching and Mentoring Programmes

The purpose of this course is to help individuals in organisations design coaching and mentoring schemes as part of internal capacity-building. This includes identifying coaching and mentoring needs in staff, connecting to L&D strategies, designing a coaching & mentoring programme, and putting in place systems for coaching and mentoring processes.
Target audience and needs: L&D, HR or managerial staff; any other roles that may be involved in internal capacity building.
Course aim: To support staff to develop coaching and mentoring programmes in line with organisational strategies.
By the end of the course participants will be able to:• Articulate organisational needs that may be best met by a coaching and mentoring programme • Define the aims of a coaching and mentoring programme • Progressively design the following C&M programme elements: o Programme strategy o Process for identifying mentors o Overview of equipment needs for mentors o Process for identifying mentees o Matching mentors and mentees o Mentoring agreements • Evaluate the effectives of a coaching and mentoring programme**
