Indonesia: Floods - Nov 1987

Heavy monsoon rains have caused floods and landslides in Aceh province, northern Sumatra. Official reports indicate serious losses in crops, unhusked rice, and livestock. Damages were reported as follows: important road cuts in Central province, many houses either destroyed or seriously damaged, 4 persons killed by landslides, and several thousand persons were evacuated.
