India-Northern India: Cold Wave - Jan 2004
FHI has provided a cash grant to an Indian
partner agency, working to provide blankets and sweaters in Northern India.
Temperatures below freezing continue to plague India's northern states, including Bihar, where FHI partner New India Evangelistic Association (NIEA) has well-established projects. NIEA plans to aid people living in rural villages where home construction does not protect well against the cold.
More details on NIEA's efforts are forthcoming and will be posted here as we receive them.
