MCC provides blankets for homeless Zimbabweans

Hundreds of thousands of people in Zimbabwe recently lost their homes when government forces destroyed neighborhoods in several major cities. The government states that the destruction is an urban renewal program and a crackdown on illegal businesses. Many newly homeless Zimbabweans are now forced to sleep outside during the coldest time of year. MCC is providing $75,710 Cdn./$60,000 U.S. to purchase 5,000 blankets for homeless families that are being assisted by churches in Bulawayo.
