WASHINGTON DC — Local civic organisations accredited to observe Wednesday's election have started deploying teams to various constituencies across the country.
Most of these organisations will observe the elections under the Zimbabwe Election Support Network.
ZESN board chairman Solomon Zwana told VOA his organisation is getting ready to deploy observers for the watershed elections.
The National Constitutional Assembly said in a statement it will also work under ZESN and has deployed observers to different areas in the country.
Center for Community Development in Zimbabwe director Philip Pasirayi says his organisation has dispatched 60 observers to compliment the work being done by other observers.
ZEC invited applications from groups and individuals who were interested in observing this year’s elections to allow them monitor the voting process.
