Declaration by the Presidency on behalf of the European Union concerning renewing restrictive measures against Zimbabwe

The Acceding Countries Bulgaria and Romania, the Candidate Countries Turkey and Croatia*, the Countries of the Stabilisation and Association Process and potential candidates Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro, EFTA countries Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, members of the European Economic Area, as well as Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, declare that they share the objectives of Council Decision 2005/592/CFSP of 29 July 2005 implementing Common Position 2004/161/CFSP renewing restrictive measures against Zimbabwe. They will ensure that their national policies conform to this Decision.

The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it.

* Croatia continues to be part of the Stabilisation and Association Process.
