Livelihoods: Farmer-to-Farmer Exchange Visit Strengthens Agricultural Knowledge and Practice: WFP organised a learning tour for livelihood beneficiaries to the Musancha Irrigation Scheme and Kabuta Camp in Nchelenge District. A total of 38 lead farmers participated in the visit, comprising 23 males and 15 females. The visit also facilitated a farmer-to-farmer exchange, allowing for direct mentorship and knowledge-sharing between Mantapala lead farmers and their counterparts from Musancha. During the tour, six key crops were discussed: cassava, groundnuts, orangefleshed sweet potatoes, impwa (African eggplant), maize, cabbage, and tomatoes. Many of these crops are among the farming inputs that WFP has distributed to project participants.
